How is this data produced?

GDP is the total value of all goods and services produced in a certain period, after deducting the cost of goods and services used in the process of production. This value is before deducting the allowances for consumption of fixed capital i.e. the value added by resident producers (in producer prices) plus import duties. Therefore, GDP is equivalent to expenditure (in purchaser prices) i.e. the sum of all components of final expenditure on goods and services less imports of goods and services.

What caveats I should bear in mind when using this data?

W.P. Putrajaya data is subsumed under W.P. Kuala Lumpur; Supra indicates economic activity not constrained by state boundaries.
