The data covers all establishments engaged in Wholesale & Retail Trade activities in Malaysia, including the trade of Motor Vehicles. The data reported is based on the Profit and Loss Account / Financial Statement and other supporting documents for the reference year. In cases where the account is not finalized or not available, the data is based on the best estimates.
What caveats I should bear in mind when using this data?
This data is produced by DOSM as part of Malaysia's official statistics. It should be interpreted carefully if used in further analysis.
