Annual final energy consumption in Malaysia, by energy commodity.
0 views·0 downloads
This data is compiled by the Energy Commission (Suruhanjaya Tenaga) for the National Energy Balance, from data reported by energy producers, power utilities, oil and gas companies and government agencies. Primary energy supply is the energy available for use in Malaysia: domestic production plus imports, less exports, international bunkers and changes in stocks. Final energy consumption is the energy delivered to end users, after conversion (such as refining and power generation) and losses. All values are in kilotonnes of oil equivalent (ktoe).
Figures may be revised as the National Energy Balance is updated. Total consumption may differ slightly between the breakdowns by commodity and by sector in some years (notably 1990 to 1996, and 2017), as each total is the sum of its own breakdown. For 2024, petroleum products may not add up exactly to the total due to rounding.
