Annual dividend rates declared by the EPF for conventional and Shariah-compliant investments.

Under the Employees Provident Fund (EPF) Act 1991, the EPF is required to declare a minimum dividend of 2.5% for conventional investments; there is no specified minimum for Shariah-compliant investments. This dataset tabulates the actual dividend rates declared by the EPF for both conventional and Shariah-compliant investments.
The EPF's Simpanan Shariah was launched in January 2017 in response to high demand from EPF members during the Members' Consultation exercise. Consequently, the series for Shariah-compliant investments begins in 2017.
