How is this data produced?
Under the standards specified by the National Digital Department (JDN), all government mobile applications must be registered with the Malaysia Government Mobile Applications Gallery (GAMMA). This dataset is derived from the transactional data stored in the GAMMA database. Where an application was withdrawn from GAMMA without a recorded shutdown date, its shutdown date reflects the last available evidence that the application was still in use.
What caveats I should bear in mind when using this data?
The data represents applications tracked via the Malaysia Government Mobile Applications Gallery (GAMMA) only. As such, official applications not yet registered in GAMMA may be absent from this dataset.

app_os_platform (Categorical) | Operating System Platform | The operating system platform for the application: Android, iOS, or Huawei. |
released (Date) | Released Date | The date when the application was first published to the app store for that OS, in YYYY-MM-DD format. |
last_updated (Date) | Last Updated Date | The date when the application was last updated on the app store for that OS, in YYYY-MM-DD format. |
shutdown (Date) | Shutdown | The date when the application was shutdown or removed from the app store, in YYYY-MM-DD format. Null if still active. |
purpose (String) | Purpose | Description of the application's purpose and functionality. |
