This dataset is tabulated from the operational hospital-level records maintained by the Health Informatics Centre (PIK) of the Ministry of Health. The data reflects the number of active hospital beds as at 31 December each year.

Special medical institutions refer to institutions with a specific focus, such as on cancer, heart disease, etc. Non-MoH hospitals refer to government hospitals under the purview of other agencies, such as army hospitals. |
