This data is tabulated based on survey records collected via the National Health and Morbidity Survey (NHMS), which is conducted by the Ministry of Health once every 4 years. Figures are from NHMS 2016: Maternal and Child Health.
Vaccination status refers to vaccination against vaccine-preventable childhood diseases before the survey and by the child's first birthday. Complete vaccination is verified where it is confirmed by the child's health record, and self-reported where it is reported by the parent or caregiver without a record.
These are survey estimates, and are not comparable with the administrative immunisation coverage rates published by the Ministry of Health. Figures for Sabah include W.P. Labuan. A breakdown by sex is available at national level only.
