0 views·0 downloads

How is this data produced?

This dataset is compiled from official records of Malaysian local authorities as of January 1st each year. The proportions of women and men are computed using the total number of filled positions as the denominator, meaning that vacancies are not included.

What caveats I should bear in mind when using this data?

The data reflects the composition of local authorities at the start of the year. Therefore, it does not capture any changes in composition that occur during the year. However, the proportions usually do not fluctuate significantly.
