How is this data produced?

This dataset is tabulated from administrative records of cross-border transactions collected by the Central Bank of Malaysia, and subsequently reported to DOSM in aggregated form. It is collected as part of Malaysia's monitoring of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), in line with the most recent SDG Global Indicator Framework.

What caveats I should bear in mind when using this data?

The data is subject to revision in future updates.
