This dataset is tabulated from administrative records on recycling compiled by the Ministry of Local Government Development (KPKT), and subsequently reported to DOSM in aggregated form. It is collected as part of Malaysia's monitoring of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), in line with the most recent SDG Global Indicator Framework.
The data is subject to revision in future updates.
