Dear Sir/Madam/Dr./Prof., Good day to you. My name is Ang Shu Yen, and I am a PhD student from Universiti Sains Malaysia, currently pursuing my study in criminology. For my dissertation, I am analysing long-term trends in women’s incarceration to inform evidence-based policy and rehabilitation programmes. I would be grateful if you could provide the total annual population of women prisoners in Malaysia for the years 2013 to 2023. The statistics currently available on the DOSM Open Data portal cover only 2017 to 2022, leaving gaps that are essential for my analysis.
