How is this data produced?

Under the standards specified by the National Digital Department (JDN), all government mobile applications must be registered with the Malaysia Government Mobile Applications Gallery (GAMMA). This dataset represents download statistics collected from app stores and platform analytics for registered government applications.

What caveats I should bear in mind when using this data?

The data represents download statistics for applications published via GAMMA only. As a result, the number of applications with tracked download statistics is smaller than the total number of applications.
